Character Pipeline and Compositing

Character Pipeline and Compositing assignments I completed at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment. Every student had to block out, model, sculpt, retopologise, rig, weight paint, UV, texture and pose a lizard creature. It was hard but fun and it has given me valuable insight in to the world of character pipeline. We also had to place the lizard in a scene in front of a plate and then do a multi pass render through Renderman. We then took the exported images in to a program called Nuke and made a composited image.

The most difficult learning curve for me was the weight painting, it was so hard to understand and get the feel of.

Character rendered with multiple passes and composited in front of a back-plate by myself. I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out where the invisible plane should be placed so that I could cast a shadow.
